The iThemba GMP produced 68Ga generator provides a positron emitter for the labelling of Peptides, monoclonals etc.
The 68Ga generator is a closed system, ready for use. It contains a modified Tin-Dioxide polyethylene column with polyethylene tubing with no metal parts.
68Ga is continuously produced by decay of it's radioactive parent 68Ge (T 1/2 270 days).
The generator should be eluated with 0.6 MHCl (suprapure).
The yield in 5 ml of eluant is not less than 80%. The generator can be eluated either with 5 ml in one fraction or in fractionated elution.
68Ge breakthrough < 0,002 % at the reference date.
Output: The actual yield of 68Ge is at calibration
It is forbidden to dismantle the generator. At the time of printing these specifications are believed to be accurate. Regulatory requirements may change and differ per country and this information is not tailored to individual needs. For specific applications a radiation safety officer should be consulted.
